i've a oracle enterprice edition (oracle8i) ,and someone has change the passward . i want to change the passward.i don't know that passward .what can i do to change it? please send me reply as early as possible.

Hi aparna,
You may delete the currently existing password file by the os commands and then recreate the password file using the orapwd utility syntax.
This is to be issued from the os prompt.
syntax : orapwd file=pwdSID.ora password=any password
bye
