Perfomance of Oracle 6i on windows 7 [message #536088]

Dear All

I have a Problem related to perfomance and quickness of a customized application

suppose that this application work on 2 clients
those 2 clients logon to the same database and the
same mapping application folder
also the 2 PC configuration are the same

the first client has OS windows XP
the second client has OS Windows 7

I noticed that the the second client (win7) is
less perfomance than the first one (winxp)
also I saw the application on the second client
is slower than the first client

please help
I know that Oracle 6i on win7 is disupported
also i know i should upgrade to 10g or change the OS to xp

but is this the only way for enhancing the performance or is
there another way i can do without changing anything (Patch , etc)

I would think that Windows 7 is going to be a lot more resource hungry than XP, so worse performance is to be expected.

Do that which you are trying to avoid - run on compatable versions of forms/windows.
Since that combo is highly unsupported I doubt anyone has looked into why it may be slow.

Well, I'm surprised that Forms 6i + Windows 7 works at all.
