sir/madam
i have a win98 system on which i first installed OfficeXP which updated some components of Win98 and then i installed oracle8 personal edition with the new installer 3.1.1. I tried to create a user DSN from ODBC datasource option from control panel with selecting driver Microsoft odbc for oracle and in next step it gves the message that "Oracle(tm) client and networking components not found .thase components are suppied with oracle7.3 and higher versions........etc".
when i tried Oracle ODBC driver the when clicking next it comes to parent screen and does nothing.
and i'm not able to create a data source.what is the reason behind it and how could i correct it.
please try to reply it as soon as possible

hi,
I have the same problem on installing the oracle7.3 client on windows ME. Can someone please help us out.
Will installing the latest mdac help?
