Hi,
I have issued drop user username cascade;
It hangs for a long time and there is no response at all.
What may be the problem with the database.
There are no people working on this database and they are no database operations going on.
I have shutdown the database and restarted it.It went fine.
After that,i have again issued drop user username cascade.
Still it hangs.I have waited for nearly an hour,but still it does not drop the user.

Any help is appreciated..

Are you sure the user is not connected. Use this query before you do the drop.
