my understanding of the above from this forum and self- reading:
is that among the 3, they are not 'of - less privilege' between each other.
Is something like a function group, each performing certain task.
Can help to list out (in practical way) when, you log in as one of them and what are you practically doing.
What i came to know is that sys admin who maintain a unix system have the privilege to actually perform start up and shutdown a db. So i guess they are given a system role?
Of course they are not able to create or drop any db that role is obviously reserved to dba.
This all that i know practically.
