The important parameter is: What is the application?

I meant what job make the application, how many users...
If you don't know then start using the default parameters for a DWH and then modify them if there is any performances problem accordingly to this problem.

Michel

Hi Michel,

The ETL jobs are starting the load and making approx of 200 sessions to the database.

And also wanted to know, do you have any recommendation for data warehousing database which is having 80GB of size.

I means. just wanted to know the
1. Recommended parameter in pfile.
2. Mount point allocation for the dbf,ctl and redos ..

Please let me know if you require any more info ..

Regards,
Vimlendu

200 sessions should do a fine job to bog down & overload the hardware.

Hi Swan,

200 sessions should do a fine job to bog down & overload the hardware.

Yes the jobs are doing fine but when i see the load through the top command it is showing very high.

Load Ava. :- 10

Please let me know what should i do in that case and also suggest me for

1. Recommended parameter in pfile.
2. Mount point allocation for the dbf,ctl and redos ..

Please let me know if you require any more info ..
