I installed Oracle 8.1.7 on Win2K professional. The DBMS software and database are installed on the same disk, is there any way to move dbms software to another disk while leave database unaffected? I mean if I uninstall the dbms software and install it on another disk, will the database still be useable? Is there any other work to do, for example, change environment parameters in Windows register?

personally, I'd just do a full export of the database, then de and reinstall on your different disks. Import the db - job done.
