I've installed Oracle 8.1.7 on WinXP.
After install I've install Management Server and only than create new repository.
Management server appear in Control Panel->Services.
When I run it I've got messages "Management Service started and than stopped. The reason could be server have no work".
What is meand? How to run this service?

Tnx.

Hi

Drop the existing repository,
now check all the oracle services,
now start the client cache service
now start the datagather service
now create a repository by using system/manager
use the default username sysman/oem_temp
now goto the service start the OMS sivice in the OS.
