Hello All,

I am Unable to Install Oracle8iEE8.1.6.0.0 on Windows XP Home Edition. After I installed the aboue version Of Oracle on Windows Xp. I got the error like ' Oracle is not available'
Please help me how to Install....
your help is appriciated.

Hello
if u want to install on XP, the process is first copy the entire ORACLE dump from u r CD into HDD..and then install it from there.
it works...

It doesn't work either. Only the first autorun Oracle installation window appears. After clicking on install nothing works. mail me how did you install on 8i 1.6 on Win XP

please, explain what means " put your CD into HDD, what is HDD on windows XP ? I've tried to copy the extracted zip on a CD-rom , and submit from it, but it doesn' work, still the same.
