hi,

I too have a similar problem. there is a proposal to buy 10 laptops in my office and work in oracle 10g and forms and reports developer 2000 .

there seems to be a view that oracle 10g is not compatible with windows 7 and cannot be installed. is that true?

kindly clarify and can suggest some installation guide to do this. I did try searching in google. there seems to be mixed opinion on this. i am a little bit confused as i am new to working in oracle

lists a download for:

Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) for Microsoft Windows Vista x64, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, Windows 7 x64

Right, but - as far as I know - Forms' & Reports' version lower than 11g won't work on Windows 7.

I couldn't even find a Forms and Reports 11g. The highest Forms and Reports version that I could find is 10g and not for Windows 7.

These are no longer "independent" installation (as they used to be, part of the Developer Suite). 11g:Oracle
Note: Oracle Forms and Reports 11g (11.1.1.4) was released on 14th January 2011 as part of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (11.1.1.4). Forms and Reports 11g (11.1.1.4) can be downloaded from My Oracle Support.
