Hi,
When I run the command "host set sqlpath" I get the following message "Environment variable sqlpath not defined", please help me how I can set my oracle sqlpath
SQL> host set sqlpath
Environment variable sqlpath not defined.
So my question is how can I set an sqlpath in enviroment variable?
Any help on same would be appreciated, Thanks in advance...

Hi Blackswan,
I had tried googling but did not help much, also it was my first post on any forum so thanks for sharing the guidline.
Regarding my OS its windows 7 home premium 64 bit, please let me know if you want me to mention something else, thanks for your reply...

As far as I know, yes to all three. Although you may get some features to work on Windows Home, some features will not work. However, this does not have anything to do with why your improper syntax for setting the sqlpath not working. The sqlpath is a registry entry, not an environment variable. When creating shortcuts, you can always set the "start in" directory in the shortcut properties to have the same effect. Why not install the most current version 11g? I have been running Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit for a long time with no problems. Like you, I tried to install it on Windows Home, as I had done with earlier versions of Oracle and Windows, enabling most features, but it didn't work. I ended up stopping all the Oracle services, running the uninstall twice, re-starting the computer, checking for leftover pieces in the registry, then upgrading to Windows professional and starting over with the Oracle installation process.
