Slow forum response times [message #518846]

Previously, it was because of the "old" server.

For the last few days, my OraFAQ pages open slowly - instead of (usual) 0.x seconds, it is now 1.5 (if I'm lucky), 7.5, 23.8 and similar. Does anyone of you experience similar issues?

I tried it on several computers (both home & work), so - unless all of them suffer from the same disease - is something wrong with OraFAQ itself?

I have the same issue (and with the same tests) and I was just thinking to warn Frank about this.
So as I'm not the only one, I will do it and point him to this topic for further information.

Note that this is not only the forum but the whole site: wiki, pm...

Wiki, right ... a few minutes ago I was checking the Forum statistics - took ages to open.

I've done some forum maintenance and optimized the MySQL tables.
It looks a bit better now.

Unfortunately, didn't last long (at least, over here). 11 seconds to open Forum homepage. 71 seconds (seventy one!) to open another page.

What do the others say?

Very strange, I started to experience that this morning (GMT time) and it was worse in the afternoon and after I PMed to Frank it goes back to subsecond response time, I still have now.
