You have not mentioned the problem that you faced during installation of D2K.
Few of my experiences with installation are as under -
I have database server on my machine.
I first installed Oracle and then D2K.
I used the same Oracle Home.
I downgraded the Oracle Installer to what is prompted by D2K.
Hope this may solve your problem. It is better to uninstall Oracle and D2K if you don't have any important data and then install it all fresh keeping these things in mind.
