Hi,

we have a very strange behavior in our FORMS client.
Last weekend we upgraded our database from 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5 and we upgrade to AIX 6.1 on the database server. Since then we receive an error inside one FORMS screen:
Cannot insert into or update data in a view.

Now as I said, this screen was always working and we didn't do any change at the FORMS client.

Another thing is, that we don't want to update the data via a view. Of course the data block got created on a view, but the update, insert and delete should happen via stored procedures that are set inside the FORMS data block properties.

I hope someone can help us here.

If you're using procedures for insert/update/delete why aren't you using a procedure for query?
That's what I would have done.

Or, if you based the block on a view, why don't you do inserts/updates/deletes via INSTEAD OF trigger?
