Hi,

We are planning to have new installation of 11GR2 and would like to create data guard for this system. I have one server in houston and other in Austin TX. the OS will be Windows 2008 R2.

How can i set up data guard and what is the requirements? Please guide since i am totally new to this!!

Hi,

You do not need to worry,as this is quite simple process.
I am not well versed with the Windows version,but the doc provided by Oracle quite good.

I have just done the DG with 10.2 on unix.
go through the doc and i shall help you with any inputs required.
