Hi,

I was trying to backup my database via RMAN and I had deleted a datafile from the database while it was still in open mode.
Since I can't return back to mount stage again,I tried to bring the tablespace pertaining to that datafile offline and then restore backup of the tablespace but it's falshing error during recovery.

When I try to restore entire database,it is not even able to restore.

please guide!!!!!

I issued shutdown abort command and backed up controlfile from autobackup.Then I returned to mount stage and performed usual RMAN recovery and later opened database by issuing alter database resetlogs.
