Reinstallation issue(1033.mst) in oracle XE. [message #501423]

Hi All,

A Warm Greeting to all of you Smile

Issue :I uninstalled Oracle XE 10g from Windows XP, I want to reinstall, when I run the OracleUnive.exe to reinstall I am getting Transforms error. the error is "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid. C:\Windows\Installer\{F0BC0F9E-C4A8-485C-93ED-424DB9EA3F75}\1033.MST
Please help me in installing.

Michel Sir,

I uninstalled it through the Installer.exe itself.
When i clicked for the installation it gave me a message that few Oracle Prodcuts Must be unistalled for new installation then i clciked on Yes.
After that it uninstalled it.
But later on when i again clicked exe file for reinstallation its throwing .mst error.
No clue..Plz guide.

If you are running oracleUnivXE, it will ask whether to repair or uninstall. choose the option uninstall. Make sure all the components are removed. Again run the same OracleUnivXE. Generally, change of os alone will give problem, otherwise you will have smooth walk

Hi raghunathan,

Its Good to see your Reply.
But i already chose the option uninstall from oracleUnivXE and retrying reinstallation from same oracleUnivXE.
But issue still Persist...
Can you suggest more ideas??

- stop all Oracle services
- delete XE directory
- remove XE references from Windows registry
- reboot (possibly more than just once, depending on whether previous steps succeeded smoothly or not)
- install XE
