Hi all
Can any body tell me what is oracle Apex, what kind of applications are build in it, what is difference between oracle forms 10g and Apex,
My friend told me in Apex dynamic web sites are designed .it is tool for web designing like ASP.net, PHP,C-sharp vb.net.....
is it true... !

Hi, With a little experience in Oracle Apex here are my observations.
1. It's Free of cost
2. Easy to learn, develop and deploy applications.
3. Web browser based application development/Administration.
Developer/ Administrator needs only a web browser to
develop/administer an application. No extra installation
anywhere.
4. Can make Professional applications with only PL/SQL knowledge.
You need not be an expert in HTML/ javascript etc.
5. Database centric. Application developed in one platform can
easily be deployed in other platform with no extra effort.
6. Simple applications with a few users are scalable to very
complex application with thousands of users.
7. Light Weight. Fast deployment. Compared to Oracle Forms 10g it
is light weight and much faster.
8. Compatible to all popular web browsers.
9. Very limited web hosts are available for Oracle Apex compared to PHP/ASP.Net Hosts.
10. It can only be used for Oracle Database.
If you are an Oracle Developer you can easily switch to Oracle Apex development. I believe you will love it.

With Oracle Application Express, one can build data centric application and only for Oracle database. Developer is required to have enough knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
Oracle provides workspace to develop application for learning purpose.
