Can I add a custom code on Printing [message #494182]

Hi,
I need to log some information to DB while a report is printed. For example, I need to save user info, print date, no. of copies, page range, etc. I tried the option-

Step 1. previewing the report without print option.

Step 2. printing the report directly.

But, hence I cannot choose page range which is the only issue for me now(no. of copies, printer,layout, etc. are possible, I implemented).

Any help is appreciated.
