Hi All,

I am creating the standby database for the first time on two different machines. Can anyone tell me why we use "ALL_LOGFILES and ALL_ROLES" parameter for the "VALID_FOR" in the pfile of the primary database for the creation of STANDBY DATABASE and "ONLINE_LOGFILES and PRIMARY_ROLE" for the STANDBY DATABASE.

What is the role of using these parameters?
