canvas and editor window sizes in froms designer [message #484312]

gents

is there a way to set the default sizes for the canvas, object navigator and properties window in forms designer so that they don't maximise when opening them. i tried to set them in the caupref and cagpref files to no avail.

As far as I'm aware form builder obeys standard windows functionality - maximise one and all are maximised until you click on Restore Down when they all stop being maximised. That's how my copy behaves. I can only assume you've changed some file like the ones you mentioned, or a registry setting to cause this. So what have you changed since you installed it?

new company: it was maximising the canvas window so changed the settings in those files. it still does it when i open any form so i have to re-size it so that i can see object navigator and properties windows in the main designer window. can't think of anything else.
old company: behaved the same as you. once the display size was set in the designer the next time it remembered and had no problem.

same 10gr1 designer
