Hello Team,

We are taking full logical backup ( export) in freeze hours( no user login). But prompting error "ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number 7 with name "_SYSSMU7$" too small".

I request to please explain the error and suggest the solution.

I request to please search before posting, ORA-01555 is one the MOST posted and answered question among these last 15 years on Oracle forums.

Retry the operation and if there is REALLY no one working then it will likely work, if not retry once more.

Thanks for your prompt response.

What punch me is that we are getting error ora-01555 in freeze hours and non of the user is allowed to update any tables.

Yes but Oracle may have to do some job on your blocks when you query them (this is called "delayed block clean out").

There is nothing you can do about this but "select count(*)" on the table you want to export, if you want to export all tables this is of course not possible.
