I have dell inspiron 15R model N5010 laptop,
I have windows 7 64 bit operating system, intel i5 processor,
4 gb ram,500gb hdd.
how does install oracle 10g in my system.

I'd follow Installation Guide (bottom right). I *think* that combination of MS Windows 7 and Oracle Database 10g is not certified (11g R2 is). It might be possible to install 10g R2 on MS Windows 7 - download database for MS Windows Vista operating system, and install it in Vista SP2 compatibility mode "as administrator". That's what people have said in this OTN Forum thread. Check it for more details.
