Hi,
Bear with me as I'm asking a silly question.
I'm a faculty on oracle 9i, and looking for job in production, so I need some clarifications.
1) what is the meaning of "Login to client machine"?
2) Are DBAs not working in the oracle server directly?
3) How to connect to the original server if a DBA working through remote database?
4) Hope there is no difference of working at remote database and at the original database? Only we need to connect.
5) What does mean Remote Server and Remote Database?
Are they same?

1) What is the meanig of login to your PC?
2) It depends, to startupo, shutdown, restore, recover... yes. To query dictionary, not necessary
3) Using putty for instance
4) ???
5) They are not local. A server is not necessary a DATABASE server.
