Please go to apex folder where you unzipped Apex. and write (Example: file:///E:/apex/doc/appdev.32/e13363/acl.htm#CHDHBJFB) in the address bar of web browser. Creating Access control page will appear. Documentation on how to use access control page based on your APP_USER is described there. Create the application from excel file(.csv file attached with the post)
So far it works fine as far as the authentication is based on APP_USER, but there is no indication of how to do the same based on USER GROUP.
Recall application of Oracle role, privileges in Oracle forms. User with a specific group will have access of specific page/item/control.
The demonstration is useful where a few users use the application. But in the application where 900-1000 users will access the application, you must apply USER GROUP scheme else you cant maintain generic access control scheme for all users of the application. I am keen to learn the way how it is done based on Application USER GROUP.
If there is some solution please have a post here.
