When I try to update the supervisor ID for the employees assignments through API, I receive the following error:
ORA-20001: Supervisor is not valid for the duration of the assignment.
I used all the avaialable combinations for datetrack mode and effective date. I tried sysdate as effective date and UPDATE for datetrack mode, also I tried the earlier date with update mode and I tried also with Correction.
It is not working for any case even if the supervisor's start date is the same as employee's start date for the assignment.
But still if I made this change from the form it works successfully in both modes UPDATE or CORRECTION.
Please advice.
