Does Toad 8.5 work with Oracle 10gr database? [message #464357]

Hi all,

We plan to migrate the databases to Oracle 10gR2 from Oracle 9i. Does anyone know whether Toad 8.5 works fine with Oracle 10gR2 or not? I cannot find this an any support site but maybe I am not the best searcher Smile

Why not just install a 10g DB and try it?

Because database & server management is handled by a 3rd party. So I don't have the privileges on the server to install a database. 3rd party also handles the migration itself and I try to have all the consequences clear.

8.5 is fine with 10gR1 and lower versions of Oracle.

You need v8.6 to work with 10gR2.

You'll see weird error messages when trying to work with PL/SQL in 10gR2 with 8.5 due to a Toad 'bug'
