Hi,
We are migrating D2K 5.0 to iDS10gR2. The migrated source is hosted on oracle application server 10g(10.1.2.1.0). While running reports it is consuming substantial amount of CPU(12 to 15 %) on application server. Query of some of these reports are well tunned and costs around 18-25 only. These reports are more than 50 pages and some of these expands to 1500 pages also.
Does anyone has solution/workaround to minimize the CPU consumption.
The structure (i.e. architecture) is ..
- One report server with 6 JVM island to run all the report. there are 2500 reports within 20 different modules
- More than 500 users
- using Oracle application server 10gR2(10.1.2.1.0) for hosting forms and reports
- Hardware - Core2Duo CPU with 8 processor (HP Server)
- OS - Microsoft Windows 2003 R2
- I am using RDF to run report
- Because of security reason reports needs to be generated in PDF formats
