Hi everyone ,
I am using oracle 10 g on my pc .i have no issues while working on it but whenever i am not connected to the internet its says failed to connect.As most of the time i am not connected to the internet the isql plus browser would show the same error but the moment i connect to the inet,it works.
Is it that 10g isql plus wont work while not connected to internet ???
please help

And the error is?
Do you access Internet through a proxy?
Have you put your Oracle server IP in the exception list of your browser: the list that you don't access this IP through the proxy but direclty?

The error is Failed to Connect.
No i use a modem to connect to the internet.
No i have not put it in exception list of my browser.

Can you ping iSQL*Plus port.
What is the difference between the 2 cases?

Please note that iSQL*Plus is obsolete, you should use SQL*Plus instead.
