I want to install Toad on Ubuntu 8.04 . Can some body provide me link where step by step instruction guide is available. I need easy to understand document.

Since TOAD is a Windows only tool, installing it on Linux will not comply to your requirement of being easy to understand.
Look for alternatives (eg Oracle's SQL-Developer)

Personally I would go for Frank's suggestions. But if you got the time, you could have a play installing Wine with Toad. Of course you dont have any support from Quest.

Hi

You have couple of options

1. You can run TOAD on Ubuntu through Wine. Try this link

2. You can get TOra. It's free and open source and as good as TOAD.
