Hi
I want to take the export of the database from the Sun Solaris Server to my windows machine with the help of expdp .
Please help me out.

I have read the manual sir ....
But I am not understanding how with the help of network link i will take the backup at my local machine .
I have oracle 10g client installed on my machine. When i login into the remote database and created a directory on my local machine the expdp not able to read that directory

thanks for the solution .
But exp use to take the backup at the client side ... how expdp depreceates itself ..

I do not understand what you mean with how does expdp deprecate itself.
exp is a client side tool
expdp is a server side tool
They are two different tools. exp still exists.
