Hi All,
I wish to ask whether character based Oracle Forms6i are compatible with Oracle 10g Database and I do not intend to ask whether Character based Oracle Forms6i can be migrated to Oracle10g Forms.
As far as I know,Character based Oracle6i forms and Oracle10g database are two different products, so I wish to know the compatibility between these two.
Please correct me if I am wrong
Thanks.

In my experience, Oracle Forms 6i can perfectly work with an Oracle 10g database. The main difference I see is the client side PL/SQL in Forms. That is not as up to date as the server side (10g) PL/SQL. You will find that some features that are available in the database will not work if you try to use them in Forms code.
But your question is kind of vague. On what level do you expect problems? Connectivity? Data manipulation?
you're right: they are indeed two different products.
