How do you Print an Explain Plan from SQL Developer? [message #438022]

I've generated an Explain Plan using Oracle SQL Developer but cannot print the output. How do you Print an Explain Plan from SQL Developer?

File -> Print.

Click on SQL Worksheet -> Only sql will get printed.
Click on the first operation in the Explain plan window -> Only explain plan will get printed.

I didn't find any other option to print both and fully.

It doesn't work. Only part of the Explain Plan is printed, not the entire plan.

You could always generate it in sqlplus and then print that.
I find the sqlplus version easier to read anyway.

Not entire vertically or horizontally? I suppose the latter; if so, would it help if you set paper orientation to "Landscape" (instead of "Portrait")?

Neither vertically nor horizontally. Surprisingly the portrait prints more than landscape, even though the plan is in landscape layout.

So it is cut off at the LEFT or at the BOTTOM?

And does it go right to the printer margins?

It cuts off at the bottom. It basically looks like a printed screen capture. If I scroll to the remaining pieces of the document it will print that particular segment of the plan.

Did you follow the same way exactly?

In my post, I've asked you to click on the first operation, not on operation tab.
After clicking on the first operation, did you see any blue bar?

When I mean "first operation", SELECT, UPDATE or DELETE.
Basically wherever you don't bother to see a blue bar.

This is annoying, but I didn't find any other way.

Yes. Performed those exact steps and tried others. I also tried highlighting the entire plan. I tried changing the layout (eg Landscape v. Portrait). I tried changing the margins. Nothing prints the entire explain plan. Its basically a print of a screen capture.
