hi,
i am new to oracle RAC and I wonder who actually do load balancing on two nodes of RAC.Let me explain
if a user logging in on RAC so who decide that this user should go on node1 VIP

thanks for reply
by listener you mean remote listener or local listener as in our case we created (my senior says) a service thrgough srvctl utility. this service is given in the connection string of application (on application servers) so the application comes on this service and then this service decdes or do LB(as they say) so can u explain a little more in detail please that how listener do this LB. in this post my os is solaris and oracle 11g r1
