hi,
i use OC4J for forms is there any way to avoid starting OC4J without having
Oracle applcation server install
and issue command in command promt rwserver server=<server name> batch =yes autostart=yes
but not starts automatically on next restart of system
please guide me.

oc4j is the http server. So you need to have a HTTP server running to run an oracle form or report.
So you might be able to run sun's apache server instead of OC4J.
Not sure if this helps.
