Dear all ,

This is my first post in FAQ'S has just joined,
i am really glad to be in here

Problem Brief :-

I am trying to install Oracle 10g R2 (10.2.0.3.0) on windows vista Enterprise Edition using OUI
installation is going smoothly until it reaches to (install) tab than the OUI just disappeared

i will be very pleased if i can get help and support in the above mentioned .

According to the Certification Matrix, You have to use the 10.2.0.4 installer for Vista.

have downloaded the media (10.2.0.4) from oracle metalink and try to install . the same problem i am facing
as well i am not finding any entry in c:\programfiles for oracle atleast to go throw the logs .

ANY one has succeeded installing oracle 10.2.0.3 OR 10.2.0.4 in windows vista Enterprise
please hlep ?

The installer writes a log file. (It tells you the logfile at some point)

Have a look at the logfile, and maybe post the last 20 lines or so if you can't see the error yourself.
