D2k Report into Excel [message #426861]

Could anybody tell me how to export the data from D2k Report into Excel.

When I give the parameters in the report, that required data should be exported into excel.

OS: Winxp
D2k: Forms 4.5, reports 25
Oracle: 8.1.8.0.

are you previewing the report in forms (calling the original report)

if so then in the generate a text file (either programmatically or through the File->Generate to File menu) for that report and then open that text file in excel, provide the necessary column separators and you're good to go

If your report is Bitmap report
You can use third party tool REP2EXCEL.
It is not very expensive and worth using as an extension to application.

I would also suggest the please report the reports, forms etc versions while logging your problem.

could you please breief about using REP2XLS and where can I get this tool and how to use it in reports.
