hi

i am trying to take tablespace hot backup in test enviornment but when i issue the command SLTER TABLESPACE MYTBSP BEGIN BACKUP; i goT the following error

can't backup.Media recovery not enabled

someone can advice please.

ORA-01123: "cannot start online backup; media recovery not enabled"
 *Cause: An attempt to start backup of an on-line tablespace failed because
          media recovery is not enabled.
 *Action: Enable media recovery and retry this operation.

You are in NOARCHIVELOG mode, you can't make a media recovery.
