Your not sure in which tablespace your database has been stored. If it's System Tablespace corrupt you can't recover your database.
Thanks

hi Babu,
i have not taken the backup from Oracle. Only thing i have is the below mentioned files, which i have successfully copied from the failed hard disk using the DOS command "copy *.* (source) *.*(destination).
Now i have taken the following steps. In a new hard disk, i installed Oracle in E: and created a database with the name "SUM" exactly like that existed in the old crashed hard disk. Now i copied the recovered files, i.e.CONTROL01.CTL,CONTROL02.CTL,CONTROL03.CTL,
CWMLITE01.DBF,
DRSYS01.DBF,
EXAMPLE01.DBF,
INDX01.DBF,
ODM01.DBF,
REDO01.LOG,REDO02.LOG,
SYSTEM01.DBF,
TOOLS01.DBF,
UNDOTBS01.DBF,
USERS01.DBF,
XDB01.DBF
into E:\oracle\oradata\sum. In the above files, REDO02.LOG is corrupted and it shows a size lesser than REDO01.LOG.
Now i opened the Enterprise Manager and mounted the database "SUM" successfully. But when i tried to Open the database, it shows the error "ORA-00327:log 2 of thread 1, physical size less than needed"."ORA-00312: online log 2 thread 1: E:\ORACLE\ORADATA\SUM\REDO02.LOG".
please help.
