Hi
I have an application which suffers fromn intermittent hangs. I have noticed the following error being reported in the application logs.
ORA 12570: TNS Packet Reader Error
We have a case logged with oracle on this, but as a heads up, I am trying to understand under what circumstances oracle would generate this error. I am trying to establish if this is an infrastructure problem or application. I strongly suspect infrastructure, but cannot prove it 100% at this point in time. Is there anyone out there who has come across this before?
Just as an FYI, the reason I suspect Infrastructure is because the database is located on a remote site from where the application server is located. There is a firewall in between. I do not have much more info than this from the infrastructure side at this time, so could do with some guidance on what else I should be looking at.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
