Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 2 node RAC on solaris 10.
The mtu parameter for packet size is to be changed on the
network level.
The parameter is going to be changed only on the public network
interface.
1.Will there be any problem as the mtu of public interface and mtu for vip interface will differ
2.Will this require any changes at the database level
(pfile/sqlnet.ora) etc

Hi babu,
the parameter is not database parameter.
it is network level parameter set for maximum transmission unit,
largest packet size that can be forwarded
my above questions are
1.whether changing the default mtu size (1500)for public interface will affect my RAC interface(private interconnect/vip)
2.do i have to make changes in listener.ora/tnsnames.ora to make sure it utilizes the new mtu value set
currently i have configured nothing related to sdu/tdu in my listener.ora or tnsnames.ora
however the foll link suggest setting sdu,tdu parameters
http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_builder_tns.htm
is this necessary or let values be default

Hi, I'm using VLC 0.52 and I'm no longer able to see MTU parameter under the Preferences/INPUT tag where it was on VLC 0.51. Did you move it into a different place ?

OK, this is weird. This question is a 1:1 copy of a question asked on the VLC forums in April 2003. I wonder if it is some sort of funny spam bot or a copy/paste mishap.
