Hi,
Can i configure oracle dataguard between 2 server primary and standby with both having same physical ip address?
We are going to use same physical address for both server (pri&sec), we will perform a Network Address translation (NAT) between the 2 machine , such that primar server see secondary as another ip address (using NAT) and secondary server see primary as another ip address(using NAT)
Regards,
Gokhan Dedeler.

Hi all,
I have forget one detail.We will use a nat IP to reach other database server.We have created listener on both server with same IP,port and sid.I can connect both side.I have concern about this issue.Is it dangerous for us and what kind of problem do I get ?
example;
Prod server physical IP= 146.0.0.1
standby server physical IP= 146.0.0.1
NAT IP to reach from prod to stby=133.0.0.1
NAT IP to reach from stby to prod=133.0.0.2
They are not on same domain.
