A big Hi to all..iam a new member to this forum searching for some answers to my queries..
I have just installed Ora10g on my system(XP)and need to know how to connect to server using SYSTEM id through sqlplus.Actually,i need to know what possible ways are there to connect to server..
One such way is the SQLPlus GUI screen which asks for username, password and Host.I can connect to scott account through this, but not system or sys account.
Also,on this GUI screen, there is no Database option..so how does it connect to server??
I know that sysdba or sysoper rights are needed for sys or sysdba accounts, but how to use them??
also,Iam a newbie to oracle world,so can u suggest some good ebook(should focus on 10g) for it.
