Last February I sucessfuly installed ORACLE 9i on my computer at home and was able to write PL/SQL code against my tables. Everything worked fine.
I stopped using it until today (took a job....) and now when I start the Enterprise Manager Console,
it starts in Standalone like it is suppose to and I get the interface where I can see the tree with my 2 databases. When I click on either databases,
I get the following error message:
ORA-12541:TNS: no listener and the OK button.
The Database Connect Information appears with
USERNAME: SYSTEM
PASSWORD: *****
Service: DAN091 (in grey- shaded)
Connect as: SYSDBA
Then I get the same error message again
ORA-12541:TNS: no listener
..............
How can I fix this?
Did I forget how to start the database ????
I just need to start the database and get to SQLPlus...
Thank you for your help,
Danielle

We are running Oracle 9i on Win2k and are getting the same issues. I saw that you had found a way to resolve this issue. Would it be possible to assist us an let me know what you did? Thanks.

P.S. If you need more info, I'll be able to send that to you.
