I am not getting any errors but even after setting up notifications and scheduling i am not getting any email alerts from oem. Now i am thinking that this problem can be solved if i reconfigure the emca. any thoughts?

Without knowing what is wrong, it is next to impossible to know what needs to be changed.

If you randomly start making changes, you could be digging a deeper hole; instead of getting closer to a solution.

Good Luck with your mystery.

Have you followed the process indicated in Configuring Notifications?

Do you see any errors in the logs in $ORACLE_HOME/<hostname_sid>/sysman/log directory?
