Dear Friends

I have a question about data Export via conventional path v/s direct path. I have taken a schema wise export via conventional path with interactive mode. The dmp file generated was 325mb. Then i had take same schema export via direct path with command line parameter options [additional parameter was DIRECT=y].The dmp file generated was 320mb.
So my main question is why there was difference between two dmp files. Is there any possibility that direct path skipping some information.

Regards

Jimit.

No, i had taken two exports back to back. But i would like to share one more thing that i added the parameter statistic=none in direct path export. [in my db there were not a single table with gathered stats or estimate stats]

You have to present us the proof of what you did.
Post the exact command line parameters (from session) and file sizes.

If you want to compare the 2 exports, you have to give exactly the same options for them.
