Hi!!!

i m developing a system for lab analysis reports.. attached is a portion of one of the reports.. problem is that my end user wants input form to be in the specified format .. i.e tests and all headers above to be in proper place and end user just have to enter value at intersecting points. in my opinion there is no way to make such a form in developer and the alternative is nt convinient for end user.. so the only solution that is coming to my mind is to prepare an input form in excel sheet .. end user enters value in it and press save and these values gets saved in database (oracle 10g).. is there any way to do it ?? or if it is possible to do it thru developer do guid me abt it ..
Regards

Noor.

This is a normal Oracle Form. You will have display only items and items that can be changed/updated. The headers are just literals on the canvas.

i wud have been the happiest person if they were literals .. they r not, mostly they dont change but they may change. even lets say my end user wants me to swap places between DEARATOR and BOILERS BLOWN DOWN .. it might nt seem big deal if i m to change jst locations of literals but this is nt the case values are being saved against under wwat sample point (DEARATOR/BOILERS BLOWN DOWN etc) at wat tag (V-4201 etc) at wat time (500,1300 etc) sample was collected and wat is the result of tht sample against each test .so even though mostly these sample points and tags dont change but wen they change ???? have i made problem clear ...?

Here, have some aitches - h h h h h h h h. They go into 'wat' to make 'what' and 'wen' to make 'when'. Also, sentences start with a capital.

If you want to change the text of a 'label' then make it a display item with the visual characteristics of a label and change the text by putting different values into them.
