How to cross verify the excisting password? [message #383758]

Hi,

I have user, If the user login in the application and he want to change passward

we are asking old passwd,new passwd,confirm passwd

Is there possible to cross verify the old passwd.

Well, if this user managed to login to the database (obviously because he/she has provided valid credentials which include old password), why do you need to check the old password validity once again?

Yes your answer is right, take this cases.

1. you login in your yahoo id, if u want change your passwd, you should give your old passwd even you logged in.

2. Suppose i logged in my application, i went some where else, meanwhile some other person can change the passwd without knowledge of old passwd(if it not include oldpasswd) from my exisiting session.

likewise only im asking, Is there any possible to clarify the old passwd.

You might try to use the LOGON built-in; if you succeed to login to the database, then the provided "old password" was correct so that you could proceed to change it to a "new password".

Hi

Just crossverify the oldpassword via form

You can use

Get_Application_property(password)

To Get database password for the user.
