Hi all!!

I'm trying to configure my 'dbstart' script to make it "startup" the Standby database only "mounted" an then turn on "real time apply". I can't make it apply logs. The log file says the database was "altered" but it does'n seem to be making it.

...
$SQLDBA << EOF
connect / as sysdba
startup mount
alter database recover managed standby database using current logfile disconnect from session;
quit
EOF

What's wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Daniela.

I must correct myself....
It does apply logs but just after quite a long time. After this it starts applying them as soon as they are written to the Primary DB.
Is this the way it oughts to work?
