Hi,
We are migrating forms 6i to 10g ,We need to upload a file contents to database.for developing im using the machine with both App server and developer suit loaded.so im taking two paths called client path and server path..im copying the file to server path and uploading the file and bringing log and bad files back to client path and deleting all files in server path..
for this i hard coaded all the paths

but when deploying i cannot fix the client path as it will not workwhen used with diff machines..whats the best way to implement it?

any functionality to giv those paths in an ini file and load it?..if so i did nt find any function to do that..
Please suggest me something ..
Thanks in advance

Use the 'webutil' function for opening a file and let it point to the local file that is to be read. Search this forum for 'open file'.
